These quality Atrek II binoculars from Vixen with their powerful 10x magnification and mid-sized 32mm lenses make an excellent choice for taking on most nature or wildlife adventures, but especially something like a safari holiday.
Their small size and low weight make them easy to pack away in your luggage and carry out in the field even if you have to carry other equipment like a camera, rifle or guidebook. However, at the same time, the 32mm lenses are big enough to ensure that a good quality and reasonably bright image is produced.
For a 10x binocular these have a reasonably wide field of view, which aids scanning wide open areas looking for a game.
Whilst these are designed to bring you a higher resolution image at longer distances, the minimum focus distance on these is also good and thus extends their use to the occasional observation of things like butterflies at a very close range.
At 15mm the eye relief should be long enough for most users, but should you need to wear some sort of eyewear whilst using your binoculars it may not be sufficient. If you are concerned with this, take a look at the standard Vixen Atrek HR 10x32 binocular that has an excellent 18mm.
