About the brand

Leupold is an American manufacturer of optics with a long tradition – the company was founded in 1907. It is still family owned as it was in the beginning. They produce optics for many organizations, including the United States Army, Navy Seals, Marine Corps etc. They have many popular products in the civilian market as well.

About the series

The VX-6 series is designed, machined and assembled in the USA. These riflescopes which boast a 6x zoom factor are made of aluminium – ruggedly designed to withstand the recoil of the strongest calibers. A special lens coating, DiamondCoat 2™, greatly increases the light transmission rate and protects the external surfaces from abrasion. Xtended Twilight Lens System™ improves performance of the riflescope in low-light situations, allowing the user to see the details better.

About the model

The VX-6 1–6x24 is a wide-angle riflescope with a 6:1 zoom ratio. At 1x magnification, it is comfortable to use both eyes when observing the objects.

There are five reticles available, each positioned in the second focal plane:

• Duplex reticle
• German #4
• FireDot4 illuminated
• FireDot Duplex illuminated
• FireDot Circle Illuminated

The model features capped, hunting low-profile turrets. The click value depends on the chosen reticle. With German #4 and FireDot4, it is 1 cm / 100 m; with all others, it is ¼ MOA.

The interior of this Leupold scope is filled with argon which is built of larger molecules as nitrogen, protecting the scope from internal fogging at an even higher degree. The scope tube measures 30 mm in diameter.

This scope’s specialty is CDS (Custom Dial System). The buyers of this scope can inform the Leupold Custom Shop about the ballistics of their ammunition, and they will receive a free custom laser marked dial for their Leupold CDS riflescope.

The scope has a long eye relief, a generous eyebox for a clear sight picture and a generous maximum field of view at 38.2 m / 100 m.
