The scope is built to withstand any abuse it might be subjected to on a difficult competition or days on the field. It offers the right magnification range to be of use at very short or rather long distances, and anything in between, especially with the fact that the advanced reticle is placed at FFP, making this scope accurate even at longer ranges. The tactical, exposed Direct Dial turrets enable quick and easy adjustments, which is vital in the types of shooting scenarios this wide angle scope is most suitable for. The click value of 0.5 MOA is ideal for short to medium range quick modifications, while the total travel for both elevation and windage is rather large at 160 MOA. The parallax is fixed at 91 meters.
The Cronus 1-6x24 FFP comes with an advanced ATSR16 illuminated reticle, which is available in either the MOA or MIL versions. The reticle acts as a red dot sight with its illuminated center dot, but has extra subtensions for both windage and elevation, which are always true due to the fact that the reticle is set at the FFP. This makes this scope a rarity in the wide-angle scope community and will make it that much easier to use at longer distances if necessary.
All the scopes in the Cronus series have single-piece tubes hammer forged out of aircraft grade aluminum, which will withstand most any abuse. It is protected with a matte, anti-glare finish for protection from scratches and the elements.
The lenses are made of HD glass for high contrast and a sharp image, multi-coated for a higher light transmission and removal of light reflection. The lenses are also coated with the advanced XPL coating to protect the lenses from scratches, dirt and stains. The scopes are both water and fog proof, as well as highly resilient against recoil and shock, making them perfect for use with any gun caliber. The interior is Argon purged to prevent any internal fogging.
Overall, the scopes are very rugged and durable and will last a lifetime, the single piece tube will make sure of it. The reticle itself is etched on the glass for better support and greater recoil resistance.
Like any scope out there, mounting is made with any type of mounting rings or single piece mount. A wide range of such products is available on the market and on our web page as well. The Cronus 1-6x24 has a tube diameter of 30 mm, so the mounting rings need to be of the same size as the scope tube.
