Simple, reliable and affordable, the Crossfire II 4-12x40 AO can compete with any scope on the market in this range, but comes with a few extra features that never fail to impress. Both the multi-coated lenses and the single piece body are made for use and abuse, and will withstand anything. Meanwhile, the adjustable objective system and adjustable parallax will ensure you stay on target at any range.

The magnification range is perfect for any hunting scenario, from stalking to shooting at longer ranges. The Dead-Hold reticle set at the SFP with its subtensions for hold-over, windage and bullet drop allows for quick shot placement even at longer ranges, while the large lens and a fast-focus eyepiece will offer a bright and clear image at any conditions.

Advanced Features

The tube of Crossfire II models is manufactured out of a single piece of aircraft grade aluminum for both durability and increased accuracy. The hard anodizing protects the material from corrosion and the elements, as well as against scratches. All the joints are sealed with O-rings to prevent moisture, water and debris to enter the scope, while nitrogen gas purging of the inside will prevent any internal fogging.

The construction of the single piece tube is rugged and will withstand both impacts as well as recoil of any caliber. The lenses are multi-coated in all lens-to-air surfaces to ensure a sharp and clear image as well as protect the lens from stains and scratches.

Reticle Illumination

The Vortex Crossfire II 4-12x40 AO does not come with an illuminated reticle, but let’s in enough light for shooting at lower light.

The lenses are high quality and multi coated for durability and a sharp and crisp image. The lens itself is of a perfect size to let in enough light and has a forgiving eye-box for comfortable shooting in any conditions. The AO – Adjustable Objective system enables adjustments for the scopes objective lens for a greater image focus and parallax removal.

Configuration Options

The scopes turrets are capped for extra protection while on the field. They are fully resettable so you can re-index them after sighting in the scope. The additional side turret allows the user to adjust the parallax to anywhere from 9 meters to infinity.

The maximal adjustment is 50 MOA for elevation and windage, the travel per full rotation is 15 MOA while the clicks adjustment graduation is ¼ MOA for fine tuning. The reticle is set at the second focal plane, so it maintains an ideal size at all magnifications, while the subtensions are accurate at it's full, 12x magnification. The scope comes with either the V-Plex reticle for simple use, or the Dead-Hold BDC reticle for the more advanced user.
