The 10x56 combination produces a slightly larger sized exit pupil than an 8x42 and thus indicates that these Yukon Point binoculars are ideal if you want a reasonably good low light performance as well as a fairly powerful 10x magnification and thus a good level of image detail at longer distances.
The larger 56mm lenses do make the binocular a little larger and heavier than the 8x42 Yukon Point, but if this is not a concern, then this 10x56 configuration makes this the ideal choice for the wildlife observer, hunter or long range birder that needs their instrument to perform in less than ideal light conditions. This will include those who operate at sunrise, sunset or whose environment includes thick woodlands or forests.
For those who must, or who simply just want to use eyewear whilst glassing these Yukon binoculars are an excellent option as the 21mm of eye relief is excellent and will ensure that you are able to achieve the full field of view by twisting the eyecups down.
Designed for mid to long range observation, it is no surprise to find that at 3.5 meters, the minimum close focus is relatively long and thus counts these out as a good choice if you often observe objects at very close range.
