Steiner Navigator Pro 7x30 with Compass Details

Whilst the 7x50 Navigator Pro model focusses on providing the brightest views in very low light conditions, these far more compact 7x30 marine binoculars are designed to offer the recreational sailor or boater a more portable and easy to use instrument.

Added to this is the excellent Steiner Sports-Auto Focus System which takes ease of use even further. This is because once you have adjusted the eyepieces to match your particular vision, you never have to make any focus adjustments again as everything will be in focus right from 18 meters to infinity. This makes it easier and quicker to locate your subject as well as allowing you to use effectively use the binocular in one hand.

These Steiner 7x30c Navigator Pro binoculars use the same HD compass as that which is found on the larger model. Fluid-damped and illuminated, it provides you with easy-to-read heads-up navigation even in rough water and poor light.

The 7x magnification is very typically used on marine binoculars as it provides a wide field of view making it easier to scan wide open waters, find and then track other boats, buoys or any other subject. It also makes it much easier to maintain a steady image on rough or even choppy waters which can make the difference between being able to positively identify an object or not.

Whilst the smaller 30mm lenses mean that these cannot match the performance of the larger 50mm Navigator Pro models in very poor light, the fully multicoated, high contrast optical system and reasonably large 4.3 mm exit pupil means that these are still able to produce bright views with excellent colour reproduction in all but very low light conditions.

Fully sealed and made from the very durable polycarbonate known as Makrolon which Steiner uses on all their high-end instruments as it is able to withstand 11 Gs of impact, the optics within are really well protected both from the elements and any accidental impacts.

The exterior surface is covered in an NBR Long Life rubber armouring that not only adds further protection but provides an excellent non-slip surface even when wet. What is more, this special rubber is very resistant to hardening and cracking caused by salty water that can affect lesser quality rubbers.

Steiner has also replaced all the internal air with dry nitrogen gas using their famous N2 injection system. Sealed and pressurized to 14-psi it protects the internal optics from fogging in just about any condition, be that the arctic cold to the extreme desert heat.
