These compact porro prism binoculars from Vixen with their low power and wide field of view are a great choice for the birder or wildlife observer operating at closer ranges. Their small shape and lightweight frame will suit the traveler, hiker or a person like a photographer who also needs to carry other equipment.
As well as helping produce the wide field of view, the low 6x magnification also makes it much easier to keep the viewable image still. This along with their lightweight, compact body and large easy top reach focus wheel make these a good choice for people with particularly shaky hands and older children.
Compared to the roof prism models within the Atrek series, these have a relatively long minimum focus distance which is not a good option should you want to observe objects from very close range.
The 18mm of eye relief is excellent, which in conjunction with the adjustable twist-up eyecups means that they make a good choice for the eyeglass wearer.
