I am a owner of a number of full size almost alpha binoculars. Wanted something compact for travel, was thinking of Nikon EDG 8x32 or Zeiss 8x32 FL. However almost all 8x32 are close to 500-550 grams weight, and not quite compact. You cant put them in pocket. This one is much smaller and lighter. So I decided to take this one, after reading all reviews. Price was good, better than on Ebay.
Not disappointed at all. It turned to be a pocket compact with excellent image, comparable to alpha binoculars. The only pay-off for the size is somewhat smaller field of view, however, its anyway much higher than in other compacts.
Its a pleasure to look through, comfortable for eyes.
Pros - didnt see any chromatic aberrations. Good collimation. Glass friendly. Image is sharp to the very edge (typical for top Swarovski) - checked this on stars during night - they are sharp points to the edge of field of view, no fuzziness at all. Good color rendition. Excellent manufacturing quality, no flaws. Good focuser. Good depth of focus (little or no focusing necessary when looking far).
Cons - its small to hold in hands compared to full size binos, will take some time to accommodate to this.
Conclusion - alpha quality image directly comparable to $1500 binos, for much smaller price, in pocket form factor, the payoff is that field of view is 10% smaller than in full size top class bino, however all field of view is usable since its sharp to the edge.
