The smallest model within the New Foresta series, these 8x32 binoculars weigh just 560g yet unlike many of their competitors which have plastic polycarbonate frames, these are made from a far more durable die-cast aluminum.
Another notable strength on this 8x32 model is their extremely wide field of view. Measuring 140 meters wide at 1000 meters away it offers a number of advantages, but in particular, it really helps you to quickly locate your subject and then follow it. Which in the case of small, fast-moving birds and animals at closer ranges is a really important feature.
The 8x magnification compliments the benefits of the wide field of view as it is best suited to moderate observation distances and perfect for use in places like the garden, woodlands etc.
It is these main characteristics which make this 8x32 Vixen New Foresta, the ideal binocular for the birder or nature observer who wants an easy carry instrument or travel companion.
At 16mm the eye relief is sufficient and suitable for eyeglass wearers.
The minimum focus distance of 3 meters is relatively long and thus this binocular is not the ideal choice for those who want to observe things like butterflies from a very close range.
