Vortex Viper PST Gen. 2 3-15x44 FFP rifle scope description
The Vortex Viper PST Gen. 2 3-15x44 FFP is the most universal rifle scope in the entire Viper PST Gen. 2 production line, thanks to the great magnification range from 3x to 15x. This rifle scope can be used for hunting on short distances thanks to the big field of view of 41.2 feet on 100 yards / 13.7 meters on 100 meters, and also stalking, mountain hunting, long-range shots and much more, because of the slick and low-weight design. With this rifle scope hits on long distances are also very easy to make, because of the 15x maximal magnification.
The glass etched reticle is set in the first focal plane, so the reticle changes the size when you change the magnifications. On the smallest magnification, the reticle is thin, on the biggest magnification the reticle gets thicker. This means, the lines in the reticle have always the same distances on the target, so you can easily calculate the distance to the target and make windage and elevation corrections. The reticle is also illuminated so this rifle scope can be used also in worse lighting conditions. It has 10 brightness settings, all for low light use. You can order the scope in MRAD or in MOA, and the reticle will always be matched with the turrets.
With the big 44 millimeters objective lens this rifle scope is very bright in low-light, thanks to the special glass and special coatings that are inside this rifle scope. It has the same if not an even brighter image in low light than it's predecessor, the Viper PST 4-16x50, although it has a smaller objective lens.
In the Viper PST Gen. 2 3-15x44 FFP only the top-tier extra-low dispersion XD™ Lens Elements are used, which dramatically increases the resolution and color fidelity, and that's why the images are more sharp and crisp. All lenses inside the Viper PST Gen. 2 rifle scopes are also XR™ fully multi-coated for more light-transmission and even better contrast. The outer lenses have also an additional coating named ArmorTek, which makes the surface more scratch-resistant and protects the lenses from scratches, oil, and dirt.
The illumination can be set to 10 levels and there is an off-switch between each intensity level.
The riflescope has tactical, exposed turrets, so the user can change the elevation and windage quickly without taking off the caps. The elevation turret has now also a true RZR Zero Stop function, which can be adjusted under the turret, and now no more CRS (customizable rotational stop) shims are needed. The Zero Stop mechanism prevents the turret from dialing below the zeroed position. On the left side of the rifle scope is the illumination control and the parallax control. The parallax is adjustable from 20 yards / 18 meters to infinity.
The main tube is made from a single-piece aluminum for more strength and reliability, and the mounting diameter is 30 millimeters so many mounting solutions are available for any weapon platform. The outer surface is hard-anodized for a more scratch-resistant finish. The internal of the tube is also argon filled so these rifle scopes can be used also in a very cold environment and will not fog internally.
Vortex Viper PST Gen. 2 3-15x44 FFP rifle scopes are made in the Philippines and are covered with the great Vortex VIP Lifetime Warranty, which means that if anything goes wrong, the company will cover your scope. Your scope will be either repaired or replaced if it becomes defective, without any costs for you.
The Vortex Viper PST Gen. 2 3-15x44 FFP rifle scope can only be mounted with 30 mm rings or monoblock mounts.
