Whilst only slightly larger and heavier than the 8x42 New Foresta, the performance in low light is further enhanced which can be seen by the fact that these have a substantially larger 6.25 mm exit pupil.
However, one downside to these in comparison to the 8x42 version is that these have a slightly reduced field of view.
This means that these binocular will ideally suit the wildlife observer or birder who operated at mid distant ranges and who really needs an excellent low light performance. So for example, if you often go out early in the morning just before sunrise, or stay out late as the sun is setting.
The 18mm of eye-relief is good and will cater to the needs of the eyeglass wearer and these have a reasonable minimum focus distance of 3 meters.
