Vortex Viper HD 15x50 is the biggest model of the series, very durable due to many protective features and will not let you down in harsh conditions. You can be amazed at argon gas purged construction against water and fogginess, and at hard ArmotTek lenses for protection against scratches, stains, dust and dirt. The height of these binoculars is 6.7 inches or 17.01 cm, width 5.2 inches or 13.20 cm, and the weight is 28.4 ounces or 805 g making this model lightweight and compact considering its optical performance. Because of its 50 mm objective lens, this model has a lot of power and can be used throughout the day, even in dim–light conditions. Despite full sized objective lens that helps with better light transmission we can’t go pass the Viper’s High Density (HD) glass that adjusts contrast and enhances colors. This model has also fully multi-coated lens feature with XR anti-reflective type of coatings that reduces inner reflections and makes your image even clearer. 15 x magnification will help you with precise identifications and tracking of objects, subjects, game and other wildlife, but will make relatively shakier images. Optical parameters therefore makes this model fairly difficult to use in dynamic situations and would be hence limited for mostly static observations in lying and kneeling positions. Luckily this Viper HD model consists of a tripod mountable screw that will help you with its magnificence.
