If you are manly hunting in the forest, while stalking, occasionally also at dusk or dawn and on driven hunts than this Docter Basic 1.5-6x42 will be a great scope for you. It offers great flexibility at use since it has wide enough field of view at magnification setting 1.5x to be used on driven hunts, however it also offer high enough magnification at 6x to be used for accurate shots on medium ranges. With small dimensions and low mass is perfectly suited for light rifles and stalking. Due to the high light transmission rate provided by high quality glass and excellent Docter Multitop multi-layer coating on all lens surfaces and the 42mm diameter objective lens this scope can also be easily used in low light situations. What really makes this Docter Basic 1.5-6x42 rifle scope stand out in comparison to other scopes from this price class is also the advance illumination system. Illuminated dot is located in second focal plane - SFP and reticle bars are placed in first focal plane – FFP. This arrangement makes the reticle is thin on low magnification and the illuminated dot more noticeable, perfect for driven hunts. On high magnification the bars become thicker and the illuminated dot smaller on the target, perfect for accurate shots on longer distances. Illumination intensity of the dot can be set from day-bright levels to very dim levels for dusk or dawn use with a rotating button (Docter Shiftcontrol).
