Introduction

Burris company was founded in 1971 and named after its founder Don Burris. The company was acquired by Beretta Holdings in 2002. Besides riflescopes they also produce binoculars, red-dots and complete lines of rings and bases.

About the Burris Four X riflescopes

The series was first introduced on IWA Outdoor classic 2016 in Germany. The series is designed to allow installation on all types of rifles. It insures long lasting reliability and precision. There are three different riflescopes in the Four X series, 1-4x24, 1.5-6x42 and 3-12x56. The Long Range model is available only with the 3-12x56 riflescope. Burris Four X 3-12x56 Long Range model has an uncovered elevation ballistic turret. The turret has markings for different distances and 5 caps for different calibers.

The Four X riflescopes are made of one piece aircraft grade aluminum and are meant for hunting. They feature automatic shutdown after 2 hours of no usage.

• This riflescope perform well at low light conditions such as down and dusk.

• It is a second focal plane riflescope. This means that the reticle is located behind magnification lenses. Because of that the reticle appears the same size at any magnification.

• It has Hi-lume multi-coated lenses which optimize target resolution, contrast and low-light performance.

• Four X is waterproofed and purged with nitrogen, to avoid internal fogging at low temperatures. It is also shockproof for even the most powerful calibers.

• It has a hunting capped turrets which are perfect if you always hunt in the similar ranges. The caps also protect the turrets from water, damage or any other outside impacts.

• The reticle has twilight illumination. Twilight illumination is important when hunting in low light, when non-illuminated reticle would be hard to see. The Four X also has an off switch between each illumination level.

• The parallax is fixed at 91 meters.

• 1 click moves the hit on the target for ¼ MOA (minute of angle) which is 7 mm at 100m range.

• The main tube diameter is 30 mm and it has no mounting rail under it. In order to mount Burris Four X, you need the mounting rings to fit the tube's diameter.
