Weaver 40/44 series are hunting rifle scopes designed in the US and made in the Philippines. These scopes feature a one-piece tube, and have a rugged construction that makes it totally fog-proof, waterproof and shockproof. The name 40/44 comes from the objective diameter of the scopes in these series, since all have either a 40 millimeters objective lens or a 44 millimeter objective lens.
You have a choice of five different variable magnifications and three different reticles to choose from. The two bigger magnification rifle scopes (4-12x44 and 6.5-20x44) feature also an Adjustable Objective (AO), for focusing on targets at different distances.
All scopes from this series have a zoom ratio of 3 times, and all lenses that are built inside these scopes are multi-coated for more light transmission, contrast, and resolution. All scopes in this series have the reticle set in the second focal plane (which means that the reticle has always the same dimensions) and are non-illuminated.
All Weaver 40/44 series scopes have a 1-inch main tube, so for this tube diameter, many rings or monoblock mountings are available. All the scopes from this series have a 2 years warranty.
The Weaver 40/44 series of rifle scopes can only be mounted with 1-inch rings.
