From close range uses like backyard birding to studying wildlife on distant fields, the wide 7x to 20x zoom range on these Vixen CF compacts makes this pair particularly versatile as with a simple push of the zoom slider, you can quickly transition from viewing wide landscapes to making detailed observations, even at long distances.
The compact design and small 21mm lenses on these make them ideal for the traveler, backpacker or hiker looking to save space and keep the weight to a minimum. Good quality glass and coatings ensure an equally good quality view.
However, it is important to keep in mind that the small lenses are not able to capture as much light as larger ones and therefore the Vixen 7-20X21 CF Zoom is best used during the day and in fair to good light conditions.
Depending on the chosen magnification, the eye relief varies from 13mm to 9mm. This is fine for most users, but unsuitable should you want to use your binoculars whilst wearing glasses.
The closest focus distance is 3 meters, which is perfect for general use, but not the ideal choice should you require your binoculars for the detailed study of objects from a very close range.
