Schmidt&Bender Police Marksman II Ultra Short rifle scopes are what the name says – ultra short This scopes are designes for professional use by police and military, to withstand the harshest police and military standards. They are ment for medium to long range tactical shooting.
The reticle in all Schmidt & Bender Police Marksman II Ultra short is generaly set in the first focal plane (reticle changes with magnification) for precise hold overs and windage corrections, but the bigger model (S&B PMII 3-20x50) can be optionaly ordered also in the second focal plane (reticle doesn't change with magnification). Both models have parallax correction turrets that go from 25m to infinity, new designed very low profile double turn tactical lockable turrets with MTC function, designed to use the scope with a additional red dot sight and capped windage turrets that also feature MTC on the zero adjustment.
Schmidt & Bender offers many different reticle choices, for any kind of tactical situation. All PMII Ultra Short rifle scopes are totally waterproof, this was tested by the American army, the MIL-STD-810 G Method 512 testing standard, where the scope was under water for 10 hours in 25 meters deep sea, and no damage was sustained to the rifle scope. They also guarantee that rifle scopes work normaly in temperatures from -25 celsius up to 55 celsius.
The optical performance and build quality are on the highest level like known from Schmidt & Bender, so the scopes can be used safely on big magnum calibers such as the .50 BMG. All Schmidt & Bender Police Marksman II Ultra Short series riflescopes are waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen to prevent dew accumulation at low temperatures.
The Schmidt & Bender Police Marksman II High Power rifle scopes can only be mounted with 34 mm rings.
