    Vanguard Spirit ED Binoculars

Description of Vanguard SPIRIT ED Binoculars

Spirit ED by Vanguard manufacturer offers great light gathering ability due to ED glass technology and fully multi-coated system. They are well protected and well build using durable shock-proof materials that still feel lightweight enough for comfortable portability. Four models of binoculars available in this series are made for different uses in the nature, able to satisfy every beginner with incredible performance at affordable price. There is also a nighttime model in this series with 50 mm lens diameter that is able to perform incredibly well in poor light conditions.

    Basic Features

Spirit ED binoculars integrate extremely lightweight and compact body using polycarbonate material that significantly reduces the weight and thus helps to remove the discomfort after longer periods of time. The construction is enclosed in rubber armoring to provide a soft shield against bumps and bruises. Very thick rubber also has a very rugged surface that helps with non-slip grip, so these binoculars will stay in your hands even when facing the rain or when wearing gloves. Smaller thumb depressors underside both barrels are also a nice touch. The weight is also well distributed, so they tend to lay comfortably in both hands. Spirit ED series is also 100% waterproof due to tight O-seals that makes the construction completely impermeable and thus prevents the ingress of water and other particles such as dust. Vanguard also purged these binoculars with nitrogen gas to help prevent internal condensation due to temperature changes that usually occur in the twilight. They are also equipped with a screw to mount them on the mount, which is very useful with higher magnifications.

    Optical properties

Spirit ED binoculars integrate extra-low dispersion (ED) glass for their lenses. This high density glass reduces chromatic aberration and helps to make images sharp from edge to edge. Offering great details, these binoculars are using silver reflective coatings on prisms which offer rich colors and high contrast, but also take care that the viewing in low-light conditions will still be bright enough. They have a central focusing wheel for fine adjustments. The knob is incredibly grippy and so is the right-eye diopter that helps to quickly remove differences between both eyes. The eyecups have a twist-up mechanism that can work for those wearing eye glasses, since you can adjust eye-relief depending on your needs. They also feel incredibly soft and comfortable when pressed against the face.
